Friday, January 26, 2018

McCOOK, Neb. — The first of two wrestling-filled Fridays in McCook begins with today’s Bison Dual Invitational.

McCook welcomes North Platte, defending invite champ Alliance, Decatur Community (Kan.) and Wray (Colo). into this round-robin tourney starting at 3 p.m.

All matches take place at McCook High School.

The Bison open against North Platte before getting a bye through round two.

They resume for three consecutive duals against those Decatur Red Devils, Alliance Bulldogs and Wray (Colo.) Eagles.

All five teams feature state-rated wrestlers and Bison fans are anticipating the return of 2017 state finalist Kaleb Taylor from an injury.

Taylor remains the Class B No. 1 220-pounder by the Nebraska Wrestling Coaches Associaton.

One week from today, the Bison will host Southwest Conference rivals for their annual tourney. More details will appear next week.
