First baby of 2018 at Tri Valley

CAMBRIDGE, Neb. — Nikki Disney and John Diederich welcomed their New Year’s baby, a baby girl, Lauren Mae Maria Diederich.

Lauren was born at 4:36 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, weighing 8 piunds, 11 ounces and measuring 21 inches long. She was delivered by Dr. Shiuvaun Jaeger. Lauren’s original due date was Jan. 1. Arriving seven days late, she was still able to claim the title of Tri Valley Health System’s First Baby of 2018.

Parents of Baby Lauren are Oxford residents. Nikki is originally from Carleton, Neb., and John is originally from Oberlin, Kan. Nikki is employed full time at BD in Holdrege, Neb., and John is a welder with Kaufman Trailers in Beaver City, Neb. Baby Lauren is welcomed by one brother and two sisters: Lukas, 13, Ashton, 9, and Arya, 18 months. Grandparents of the New Year’s baby are Brenda Scott, Marion Ross and Pat Disney.

Baby Lauren, her parents, and big sister, Arya, were presented with a Welcome Wagon full of gifts from Tri Valley Health System employees in honor of Lauren’s distinction as the New Year’s Baby.
