Planning commission to consider request for Ben Nelson Museum

McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook Planning Commission is slated to consider a request for a special exception allowing for a museum at the boyhood home of Sen. Ben Nelson on Norris Avenue. The commission will coordinate a public hearing tonight, 5:15 p.m. at City Council Chambers, to discuss the request.

The special exception request is from E. Benjamin Nelson and the Omaha Community Foundation to allow for a museum at 608 Norris Ave., which is in the Residential Medium Density District. Following the hearing commissioners will consider approving the request based on special exception considerations A through I, according to the meeting agenda.
