Dec. 29, 1956 - Nov. 18, 2017

McCOOK, Neb. — Kim Marie Harrington peacefully passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, after a brief battle with cancer at Hillcrest in McCook.

Kim was born Dec. 29, 1956, in Brainerd, Minn., to parents, George and Monica O'Million Nichols. Kim grew up and attended school in Iron River, Mich.

Kim moved to Steamboat Springs, Colo., in 1977 and met Joe Harrington. Four years later they married on Emerald Mountain, high above Steamboat.

Decorating her home inside and out for every holiday was a year-round activity!

Kim is survived by her husband, Joe Harrington of McCook; two brothers, Rodney (Lisa) Nichols of Oceanside, Calif., and Gary Nichols of McCook; sister, Debra (James) Blythe of Sunland, Calif.; as well as nephews and nieces, Rodney Jr., Thomas, Amanda, Shannon and Kristina.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Patricia Knipp.

A Celebration of Life Memorial gathering will be at the Harrington Residence, 802 E. First Street, McCook, on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, beginning at 4 p.m.

Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
