ATWOOD, Kan. – The Homecoming celebration could start early since unbeaten Rawlins County only needed a half to finish Decatur Community, 48-0, Friday evening.

Rawlins County (3-0 record) rampaged to 26 first-quarter points as senior Maverick Green unleashed this powerful Buffaloes attack.

When Green wasn’t running to touchdowns, he was connecting with senior Nick Withington for a brilliant leaping TD against tight Red Devil pass coverage.

Green later found senior Colton Tiemeyer with a pass that Tiemeyer caugth just inside the end zone corner.

The final TD capped Rawlins County’s victory since Kansas high school rules enforce a mercy rule when one team goes ahead by 45 points or more before halftime.

Rawlins County was coming off an impressive 46-0 win over Wallace County one week earlier.

The Red Devils slipped to 0-3 against three tough area rivals.
