Linner’s barrel train chugs down Nebraska Avenue during the Prairie Pioneer Days and July Fourth parade in Arapahoe Tuesday. The Linner family will open their “Lil’ Barn Pumpkin Patch,” at the north end of Beaver City’s main street, Sept. 23 through Oct. 1, offering a jump pad, hayrack rides and hay mound, inflatables and slides, corn pit and maze, trike track, pedal carts, pumpkin picking and a snack shake. Call (308) 962-6760 for more information. Arapahoe’s Trinity Lutheran Church plans Vacation Bible School July 24-28. The church’s parade float declared, “A mighty fortress is our God,” the theme of VBS.
