Mobile Pantry Saturday
McCOOK, Neb. — The Food Bank for the Heartland plans a one-day, two-hour “Mobile Pantry” visit in McCook this Saturday, June 24, from 10 a.m. until noon, in the city parking lot at the corner of East First and D streets.
There are no income restrictions; shoppers must be Nebraska residents and bring their own boxes, little red wagons or collapsible shopping carts. The elderly and handicapped are encouraged not to shop alone as the boxes get heavy. There is no delivery service.
Do not wait until the last minute to shop; when the food is gone, it's gone.
The goal of the Food Bank's Mobile Pantry program is to provide food where there is a high need, but limited resources.
