McCOOK, Neb. — Soon, hospitals, clinics and long-term care facilities in Nebraska can get close-to-home help when they need to fill temporary nursing shortages.

Now making preparations to assist with the staffing needs is a new company — Team Staffing Network LLC — which will be based in McCook and be on call 24-7 to respond immediately when nursing needs arise.

Founded by Cindy Deuter, R.N., the company will have a team of 20 nurses ready to respond quickly when the need for nursing help arises at regional and statewide medical facilities.

“We are now preparing contracts and contacting hospitals, care centers and clinics,” said Deuter, who has 17 years of experience as a nationwide traveling nurse.

The national services work when nursing shortages are anticipated and for a longer term, but Deuter said local and regional medical centers also need help when temporary needs arise due to staff nurses’ illnesses, vacations and continuing education classes.

The new Team Staffing Network business will be based at 115 Norris Avenue in McCook, where Deuter and her family also will be operating two other enterprises: Rodan & Fields, a skin care line of products, and Sweet Emotions, a firm which specializes in personalized labels for candy bars, water bottles and invitations.

“I couldn’t do this without the help of my family,” said Deuter. “They have been very supportive.”

Cindy’s husband is Darien Deuter, a customer support specialist with Plains Equipment Group. Cindy and Darien have two daughters, Mallory Foster and MaKayla Frisch, and six grandchildren.

The business center at 115 Norris Avenue will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The phone number, 308-345-8879, is accessible 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The firm’s website is teamstaffingnetwork.com.

Deuter, formerly of O’Neill, has a wide range of nursing experience. She started as a CNA, and, after completing the nursing program at Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte, became an R.N.

During her traveling nurse career, Deuter’s duties ranged widely, including service in rural critical access areas and in elite orthopedic surgery centers.

“Team Staffing Network will not be doing private family in-home care,” Deuter said. “Our specialty will be nursing help for medical centers and we will be available around the clock, every day to provide that service.”
