Med Valley Raiders make it to state
CURTIS, Neb. — Medicine Valley’s golfers are moving on to state after a strong second-place team finish among 15 competing in Monday’s D-4 district tournament.
Medalists Sheldon Johnsen (85, third) and Joseph Chancellor (88, sixth) will lead the Raiders on to North Platte’s Lake Maloney Golf Course.
Class D state play will take place Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
Sid Schultz’s 97 along with Justin Anderson’s 107 completed the Raider team total. The top three D-4 teams all automatically qualify for state.
Maywood-Hayes Center and Arapahoe also competed at Curtis on Monday. Paul White fired 104 to lead the Wolves but did not make state. Watch for more details later this week.
