Nebraska Tourism director to speak to SPUCC at Orleans

HOLDREGE Neb — Director of the Nebraska Tourism Commissioner John Ricks will speak on Nebraska tourism at the South Platte United Chambers of Commerce quarterly meeting Tuesday, June 13 in Orleans.

The director’s visit is part of a tour of attractions in the South Platte region. SPUCC will take Director Ricks from Aurora to Red Cloud and west to Orleans, with stops at popular attractions in Red Cloud, Superior, Republican City and Alma.

After the meeting in Orleans and a night’s stay at the historic Orleans Hotel, the tour will continue to Holdrege, Minden, and Hastings.

“We are proud to bring Director Ricks to see what the South Platte region offers,” said Tim Anderson, SPUCC president. “It’s important that we share our resources with our state officials.”

The public is welcome to attend Director Ricks’ presentation at the evening meeting of SPUCC. Limited seating is also available anyone wanting to join the tour, or parts of the tour.
