BERTRAND, Neb. — Medicine Valley, Arapahoe and Wauneta-Palisade were all top four team placers at Wednesday’s D-9 district track-field meet.

All three schools will be sending athletes with junior Landon Lenz and distance runner Nathan Nicklas leading the Raiders.

Both won D-9 championships on Wednesday: Lenz in the always grueling 300-meter hurdles and Nicklas during that never-easy 3200 meters.

Logan Burke gave the Broncos a sweep of hurdling events as he won Wednesday’s 100-meter highs.

Wauneta-Palisade senior Greg Gaston won the high jump at 6’1” and will be back in Omaha to defend last year’s state title.

The Broncos delivered other district titles in distance running events.

Cash Yearous won the 1600-meter run. He joined Ben Anderjaska, Joel Maris and senior Brody Nordhausen for the 3200-meter relay title.

Arapahoe captured one D-9 title when Mykyta Sadok, Yordi Gutierrez, Noah Koller and Gentry Anderson raced to a 1600-meter relay title.
