One stroke stops SV home title quest

OXFORD, Neb. — RPAC rivals played a great tournament again with Alma edging Southern Valley by one stroke for the Knipping Invitational title Thursday.

The Cardinals scored 356 with Eric Kovarik firing a title-winning 83.

Southern Valley (357) featured four top 10 finishers in Ryder Lewis (second, 86), Trent Krejdl (fourth, 88), Riley Mustin (sixth, 91) and Chaston Burgeson (ninth, 92).

Medicine Valley placed third overall as Sid Schultz and Joseph Chancellor shot 93s.

Hitchcock County was fifth (429) with Blaine Teeter carding 91 for seventh individually.
