DC-S Tiger duo makes all-state teams

LINCOLN, Neb. — Dundy County-Stratton seniors Phalen Sanford and Aubrey Frederick were named to the Nebraska All-State basketball first teams released in Sunday’s Lincoln Journal-Star.

Both were part of the Class D-1 first teams.

Both DC-S teams advanced into the state tournament after winning district titles. Both were also champions of the RPAC and Cattle Trail tournaments earlier this season.

A number of other area players received honorable mention or made all-state second teams. Cambridge senior Alea Shaner was on the C-2 second team with Wauneta-Palisade junior Faith Simpson on the D-2 second team.
