McCOOK, Neb. — McCook Rotary Club plans a wine tasting/wine education fund-raiser 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 26 at the Community Building on the Red Willow County Fairgrounds..

Subtitled, Wine 101, the wine tasting will help participants learn about the basics of wine, how to read a wine label, and how to pair wine with different foods to bring out the flavors of both the food and the wine. Tyler Schmick of Schmick’s Market will be presenting the information.

The event will give attendees the opportunity to sample three reds and three whites, as well as several food items including prime rib, roast pork, chocolate and cheese. Door prizes will be awarded.

Tickets are $20 per person if purchased before March 21. Tickets sold after March 21 or at the door are $30 per person, but seating is limited so advance purchase is strongly encouraged.

Tickets are available at Acme Printing, Golden Plains Realty, McCook Gazette, or from any McCook Rotary member. Proceeds will benefit McCook Rotary Club projects throughout the year.
