A final glance at how area wrestlers finished in the Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament Friday and Saturday:

Class B

McCook

106: Carson Richards (32-11) won two state matches after losing in the opening round.

160: Dunncan Rogers (29-14) earned his first career state win after losing in the opening round.

182: Eric Langan (29-8) placed fourth with a 5-4 win over 43-6 G. Eason from Norris; lost his third-place match in 4:39 to T. Nichelson, Ashland-Greenwood.

195: Jaret Matson reached the quarterfinals before losing 4-2 in OT to Omaha Skutt's D. Thompson. Earned one more win, 10-6, over C. Anderson, Blair.

220: Kaleb Taylor (28-6) placed second. Pinned semifinal foe W. Gutzmer of Columbus Scotus in 3:11; lost 5-3 final to C. Krecklow, Wahoo-Cedar Bluffs.

Class C

Chase County

132: Freshman Trevor Peterson finished 33-19 with two state matches.

145: Junior Caleb Weiss went an excellent 44-13 this season, just one 5-4 decision from winning at state.

160: Senior Bryson Fisher (39-6) placed second. He won a 10-8 semifinal over Jaden Janssen, Crofton-Bloomfield; lost a 7-5 final in overtime to Kyle Petree, Aquinas.

182: Junior Caine Haarberg capped a 33-20 season with two state matches.

220: Junior Aaron Hinojosa (48-4) placed second. He pinned J. de Jager, Battle Creek, in 6:00; lost a 1-0 final to undefeated J. Halbeck of O'Neill (42-0). Results about the Class D state qualifiers appear on Page 9 today.
