Indians drop pair on diamond

Wednesday, February 15, 2017

The McCook Community College baseball team is still looking for their first win of the 2017 campaign after dropping the home and home series with Colby over the weekend. MCC would drop game 1 in McCook, 5-0, and would fall in the series finale in Colby, 16-5.

The Indians are now 0-5 on the year and will be back in action when they travel to Parsons, Kan., to take on Labette CC for a 3-game series on Feb 18 and 19.

In game 1, McCook struggled to get anything going against Colby's arms; collecting only two hits in the ball game. In the finale, the Indians would strike early, scoring in the top of 1st to open the game and carry a 4-1 lead heading into the bottom of the fourth. That's where the Indians would make crucial errors and Colby's bats would take control of the game.
