Pool duo nearly got to Vegas

SIDNEY, Neb. -- Frank and Sandy Seybold from Trenton fell just one win short of advancing to the American Poolplayers Association (APA) Jack & Jill 8-Ball Doubles World Championship in Las Vegas after falling in the finals of the Jack & Jill 8-Ball Doubles tournament held on Saturday.

The duo received a cash prize for their second place finish. The Sidney tournament hosted 21 teams from all over western Nebraska and was open to players that participate in the APA Pool League.

The Vegas Jack & Jill 8-Ball Doubles event features a field of 256 teams that compete for a share of over $25,000 in prize money, including $3,500 for first place.

Teams advancing to the Vegas events receive a generous travel allowance, paid entry fee, paid greens fees and complimentary lodging at the Westgate Resort and Casino, site of the APA World Pool Championships.
