McCOOK, Neb. -- The McCook Community College regained their shooting touch with a 93-80 non-conference win over Sunrise Prep Academy Monday evening.

McCook hit nearly 54 percent of its two-point shots including a sizzling 20 for 34 (58.8) after intermission.

The Indians (11-9) hit 50 second-half points to help shake off two recent defeats.

Sunrise Prep didn't just show up as an easy non-league victory. The visitors only trailed 43-38 through one half while featuring four of their own double-figure scorers.

However, Draylan Perkins' game-high 20 points along with another Lewis Diankulu double-double (19 points/14 rebounds) helped McCook maintain control.

The Indians return to Region IX competition when Northeastern (Colo.) visits Thursday.
