Bison 'A" boys earn win at Holdrege

HOLDREGE, Neb. -- McCook's eighth-grade basketball boys evened their season record at 1-1 with a 43-28 victory over the Holdrege Dusters Thursday evening.

Luke Maris' 12 points led the strong Bison effort while Landyn Roth and Ty Stevens scored seven points apiece.

Isaiah Wiemers and Mark Arp each added six points.

Peyton Craw's five points finished the winning effort.

"They played much this time out, showed a lot of toughness and aggresiveness," coach Scott Leisy said.

The B team lost 26-12. Scoring for McCook was Landyn Roth 4, Dylan Beaumont 3, Dylan Paschal 3, and Tate Felber 2.

The C team lost 28-13. coring for McCook were Ross Wiemers 7, and Bryce Shafer 6.

McCook plays next at North Platte on Tuesday, and at Gothenburg on Thursday.

"Both are going to be challenging games," Dickes concluded.

No results have been obtained from seventh-grade games.
