RPAC hoops tip off Saturday
RPAC boys and girls basketball tournaments began Saturday with more details being featured in Tuesday's Gazette.
Girls
West No. 5 Hitchcock County knocked off No. 4 Maywood-Hayes Center and earned a shot at undefeated No. 1 Dundy County-Stratton in tonight's quarterfinals at Paxton.
No. 3 Wauneta-Palisade won over No. 6 Maxwell and No. 2 Wallace downed No. 7 Paxton. They play tonight in Paxton at 7:45 p.m.
On East side at Bertrand, No. 4 Bertrand beat No. 5 Southwest to earn their quarterfinal against No. 1 Cambridge tonight at Curtis (6 p.m.).
No. 2 Southern Valley won over No. 7 Arapahoe and No. 3 Alma beat No. 6 Medicine Valley. They'll now meet tonight at 7:45 p.m.
Boys
Winners at Paxton were No. 2 DC-S, No. 3 Wauneta-Palisade and No. 4 Wallace.
Winning at Bertrand were No. 2 Cambridge, No. 4 Southwest and No. 6 Bertrand.
