SIDNEY, Neb. -- An 11-1 Sidney Red Raider team jumped in front of McCook's girls, 18-2, and never looked back during a 64-23 victory Saturday night.

The Raiders stopped McCook's three-game win while dropping those Bison to 4-7 overall.

"They play really good defense," McCook coach Scott Leisy remarked on a post-game radio interview.

No individual stats were obtained for the Bison.

McCook's boys led at halftime, but Sidney caught fire in the fourth quarter of a 56-43 home win.

Junior Hunter Potthoff reportedly scored 18 points to lead the Bison (also 4-7).

Seniors Kyle Geisler, Josiah Hegwood and junior Zach Schlager added six points each.

Both Bison teams return with re-scheduled games at the Holdrege Dusters Tuesday night.
