NORFOLK. Neb. -- A last-second driving basket gave Lexington its 43-41 win over McCook in Friday's Greater Nebraska Activties Conference tournament seventh-place game.

The Bison (3-6 record) fell short despite hitting five three-pointers.

Sophomore Gabe Sehnert helped spark McCook to an 18-12 lead through one quarter.

He hit three of five shots while junior Zach Schlager delivered his second strong offensive game of the tournament.

Schlager hit both three-point attempts, shot four for seven overall and totaled 11 points.

Sophomore Hunter Potthoff contributed 10 points and three assists despite being whistled for four fouls.

Junior Clayton Stevens sent seven points through the nets. Seniors Kyle Geisler (five points) and Josiah Hegwood (two) teamed for the other seven McCook scores.

Yet Lexington fought back and caught McCook after halftime before running one final play that decided this close contest.

The Bison will try to regain their winning momentum with a Friday night home game against Hershey.
