Friday, December 30, 2016

McCOOK, Neb. -- The Buffalo Commons Storytelling and Music Festival planning committee will kick off the New Year by celebrating the 90th anniversary of the historic Fox Theatre in downtown McCook. Their First Tuesday event will be held Jan. 3 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Bieroc Café.

The program will be anchored by John Hubert, who had the foresight to purchase the building, and Charles Coleman, building manager and Vice-President of the Alliance for the Encouragement of Visual and Performing Arts. Special stories will be shared from Mary Lou Drake and Janet Hepp and a Ray Search tale is scheduled to be presented by Walt Sehnert.

If you have a relationship that began or ended in the balcony or a memory of a favorite movie or cultural event hosted by the Fox your story is welcome. As always, listeners are also encouraged to attend.
