McCOOK, Neb. -- Class of 2016 McCook graduate Josie Dominguez is hoping to raise enough donations in the coming weeks to take a second run at the upcoming Miss Nebraska Teen USA Pageant in January.

Dominguez is the daughter of Carlos and Josiane Dominguez of McCook and competed in the pageant earlier this year. She ended up finishing in the top 10 despite it being her first pageant experience. The upcoming competition represents Dominguez last opportunity to compete in the teen division.

Dominguez started a gofundme campaign on Monday and reached $180 of her $1,500 goal by the next day. To donate to the cause visit: https://www.gofundme.com/josies-miss-nebraska-teen-usa-fund

Dominguez graduated from McCook High School earlier this year and is a freshman at Hastings College. She is a member of the Hastings College Girl's Volleyball team that won the NAIA national title this past weekend.

Dominguez was a standout athlete for McCook before graduating earlier this year. She was a captain for both the girl's volleyball and high school dance squads, in addition to playing basketball.
