OBERLIN, Kan. -- Tom Garrett, 64, died Nov. 16, 2016, at Decatur Health Systems in Oberlin.

He was born Nov. 18, 1951, in Pensacola, Fla., to Earl and Beaulah (Tharp) Garrett. He was raised in Reidland, Ky. He graduated from high school in Reidland.

He served n the U.s. Army.

He lived in Paducah and Mayfield, KY; then to Oberlin, KS. He was Groundskeeper at Oberlin Country Club,

He was preceded in death by by his parents, Earl and Beaulah (Tharp) Garrett.

Survivors include his children, Kevin (Christi) Garrett and Kristie (Jason) Ison of Paducah, KY;brothers, Mike (Denise) Garrett of Elizabethtown, KY and T. L. Garrett of Paducah.; sister, Patty (Rodney) Drew of Paducah, KY and four grandchiildren.

Family and friends will gather from Saturday. Dec. 3, 2016, from 10 a.m.. to 12 noon at the Oberlin Country Club in Oberlin. Services will follow at 12 noon, at the Oberlin Country Club with the Rev. Gordon Pettibone officiating.
