McCook School Board agenda includes resignation

McCOOK, Neb. -- The McCook School Board will be asked to accept a letter of resignation, at its regular meeting Monday, 6:30 p.m. at the junior high conference room.

JoDee Walbridge cited personal and medical reasons for her resignation, effective Oct. 25. Walbridge, hired in January 2015, was a special education teacher at McCook Elementary.

The resignation is the only action item for new business. Earlier in the meeting, Superintendent Grant Norgaard will give the board details on the recent Blue Ribbon presentation to McCook Elementary at Washington, D.C. Norgaard attended the presentation with McCook Elementary principal Tim Garcia, Central Elementary principal Kate Repass and teachers, Megan Soundy and. Tara Fries. McCook Elementary was identified as an Exemplary High Performing School.

Rick Haney, McCook Public Schools business manager, is slated to update the board on the district audit.

After the regular meeting, the board will meet in closed session for negotiations and for the superintendent's evaluation.
