Laura Barger and Frank Easterday of Atwood, Kan., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the bride-to-be are Joseph and Kathryn Barger of Wauneta, Neb. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Kirk and Sue Easterday of Atwood.

The bride-to-be is a 2008 Wauneta Palisade graduate. She graduated from the Omaha School of Massage and Healthcare of Herzing University. She is a licensed massage therapist at Renalle's Classic Hair Design in McCook. She also works at the family business, NAPA, in Atwood.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Atwood High School and attended Colby Community College, then Fort Hays State. He works as a WISP (wireless internet service provider) and tower climber for VIC Innovations. He also teaches martial arts classes in Oberlin.

A Nov. 5, 2016, wedding is planned in Atwood.
