SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. -- McCook High's volleyball team finished an eight-match week with a 3-3 performance at the Twin Cities Invitational.

The Bison (11-7 overall) won two three-set thrillers over Gering and also swept Scottsbluff.

They dropped their three matches to Ogallala and two strong Wyoming squads: Casper Kelly Walsh and Cheyenne Central.

"We played well against a good Kelly Walsh team and were in position to win," coach Dennis Troester commented. "But a couple of poor decisions in both

sets cost us the opportunity."

On Saturday, Troester said the Bison "played well" in beating Scotts- bluff and "persevered" against Gering.

"Final game of the day, we looked tired and struggled in our eighth match of the week," he concluded.

Junior Riley Sis' 43 kills led the Bison while Jaden Bryant blasted another 25.

Bryant served five aces while senior Tatum Radel, juniors Bailey Honn, Erika Fisher and Cameron Lashley served three apiece.

Holli Thomas delivered 46 total assists and Fisher made team-high 87 digs.
