City letter carrier Chris Smith decorates a table in the McCook Post Office lobby in preparation for October Breast Cancer Research Awareness Month. Special 60-cent stamps, which have raised more than $80.9 million for the cause, will be for sale, with more than 70 percent of the net amount raised going to the National Institutes of Health and 30 percent to the Medical Research Program at the Department of Defense. The McCook Post Office has a number of activities planned to support Breast Cancer Research Awareness during October.
