Hattie E. Toth

ATWOOD, Kan. -- Hattie Toth, 105, died Wednesday (Sept. 14, 2016), at Rawlins County Health Center in Atwood.
She was born March 18, 1911, in Rawlins County to Benjamin Ira and Mary Catherine (Whisman) Bliss. She grew up on the family farm in southwest Rawlins County and attended Rose Hill county school. She married Coleman Toth on April 14, 1926, in Oberlin, Kan. She was a homemaker. She lived on a farm west of Atwood and moved to Atwood after retirement.
She was a member of Atwood First Christian Church, Rebekahs, Helping Hands and Modern Priscilla's Pinochle Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Mary Bliss; husband, Coleman Toth; son, J. C. Toth; son-in-law, Wendell Allen; granddaughter, Eloise Allen; brothers, Ed, Clark and Henry; sisters, Eby and Retta; and two young siblings.
Survivors include children, John "J. B." Toth of Atwood, Shirley Williams of Atwood and Eda Allen of Miami, Fla.; seven grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.
Visitation is Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, after 9 a.m. at First Christian Church in Atwood.
Services are Saturday, Sept. 24, 2014, 2 p.m. at First Christian Church in Atwood with the Revs. David Todd and Joseph Cunningham officiating. Interment is at the Fairview Cemetery in Atwood.
Memorials may be given to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
