HERITAGE HILLS -- Giving big, the ladies of the Heritage Hills Ladies Golf League pitched in $1,020 Tuesday night to aid the Susan G. Komen Fund's campaign to achieve breast cancer awareness.

Called "Rally for the Cure," the ladies' league's gifts will all be contributed to the national awareness campaign.

While fulfilling golf's tradition of giving back, the Heritage Hills ladies also had lots of fun, with more than 60 ladies competing on the front nine at the acclaimed McCook course.

The low score of the evening was a two-under par score of 34, posted by the four-lady team of Peg Dueland, Karlie Dueland, Ellen Garretson and Jerda Vickers.

Hole-out winners were Karlie Dueland, Rebecca Vosburg and Sharon Bieber. Four of the ladies -- Mary Hazlitt, Michelle Wilson, Dari Olson and Anna Hayes -- were 'gimmie' winners.

The luckiest lady of the evening was Connie Buhr, whose name was drawn as the winner of the new golf bag. LeeAnn Mijller won the centerpiece drawing.

The ladies paid special tribute to Tracey Sis, the ladies' league president, for organizing the successful 'Rally for the Cure' event.

As the Tuesday action came to a close, the officers announced that next week's format will be a four-lady scramble on the tough back nine at Heritage Hills.

Tuesday night's flag prize winners were:

HOLE 4 -- Longest putt, Donna Stone.

HOLE 7 -- Closest to pin, Rebecca Vosburg.

HOLE 8 -- Longest drive, Anna Hayes.
