LARNED, Kan. -- Enid Phyllis Mann Davis of Culbertson, Neb., passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned, Kan. She was 90 years old.

Enid was born on July 18, 1925, on the Burton place near Chardon, Ilion Township, Rawlins County, Kan., to Cris William Mann and Blanche Agnes (Palmer) Mann. She attended Fairview Country School, Atwood Grade School and Atwood Community High School.

On Aug. 5, 1942, she was united in marriage to Warren C. Davis at Colby, Kan. The newlyweds made their first home north of Ludell, Kan., on the homestead where Warren had been born. To this union, three children were born: Lynn Carroll, Dianne Sue and Karen Kay. In 1955, the family moved to Atwood, Kan., where Lynn and Dianne attended high school. In 1964, Warren, Enid and Karen moved northeast of Hayes Center, Neb., where they farmed and ranched for many years. In 1999, Warren and Enid retired and moved to Culbertson. Following Warren's death in 2012, Enid made her home with her daughters in Larned and Aurora, Colo.

Enid was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was devoted to God, her church and her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, handiwork, gardening, reading and socializing with family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; one sister; three brothers; and son-in-law, Roy W. Connelly.

Survivors include her son, Lynn C. Davis and wife, Judi, of Ogallala, Neb.; two daughters, Dianne S. Connelly of Larned and Karen K. Smith and husband, Donald L., of Aurora, Colo.; one sister, Shirley A. Evans, of Colby, Kan.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson, two sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Culbertson with Pastor Alisa Parde presiding.

Beckwith Mortuary in Larned is in charge of arrangements.
