FFA banquet

Friday, April 29, 2016

Logan Henry of Seibert, Colo., a Colorado State FFA Executive Committee member, asks those at the 2016 McCook Senior High FFA awards banquet Thursday evening, "Who likes apple pie?" Many want to reap the fruit, he said, but they don't want to put in the time to grow the tree. "It's up to you to give it your all," Henry said, encouraging students to do their absolute best in high school in preparation for college, and their futures. MHS FFA members remembered their year of awards and accomplishments, recognizing also those who support their efforts. FFA president Chessney Friehe presented the chapter's annual "Cornerstone Award" -- given to a member of the school staff, faculty or administration outside of FFA who supports the program -- to a very surprised and unsuspecting Sonyha Einspahr, a high school secretary. More on the banquet will be in a future edition of the Gazette.
