McCOOK, Neb. -- McCook's Runza Restaurant and 77 others will be donating 10 percent of all proceeds from Tuesday's sales to the TeamMates Mentoring Program.

"TeamMates and Runza are two organizations founded in Nebraska and we are honored to be able to partner together to support our youth," said Suzanne Hince, executive director of the TeamMates Mentoring Program.

TeamMates was founded in 1991 by Tom and Nancy Osborne to provide support and encouragement to school-aged youth.

TeamMates is serving close to 7,500 youth in about 130 communities across Nebraska and Iowa.

  • Support the local mentoring program by visiting Runza Tuesday. An even bigger way to support the local program is to become a mentor. The program has nearly 30 children waiting for somebody to volunteer to meet them for one class period per week while school is in session. One hour a week can change the life of a child. Please consider it and contact Darcey to learn more. Oh, and thanks to all that are already mentors and donors. See you at Runza.
