BDK Salon hair stylist Aimee Hazlitt cuts her uncle Wayne Needham's long curls into 8-inch ponytails to donate them to the nonprofit organization "Children with Hair Loss" of South Rockwood, Mich. CWHL customizes and donates about 300 wigs a year to children suffering the side-effects of cancer treatment or with diseases and disorders that cause hair loss. This is the second time that Needham has grown out his hair and cut it to donate to an organization that focuses on restoring the self-esteem of children suffering from medically-related hair loss. "I don't grow this out and chop it off for nothing," Wayne said Wednesday. "I do this for the kids." He continued, "Women make long hair look easy, but it's not for me. I'll enjoy it short and make regular haircut appointments again." He laughed, "I just scared myself in the mirror!"
