Area students graduate from UNK on Friday

KEARNEY, Neb. -- Graduate and undergraduate degrees for 494 will be conferred at commencement exercises 10 a.m. Friday at University of Nebraska at Kearney.

University of Nebraska President Hank M. Bounds will be the honored guest and commencement speaker for the exercises, with UNK Chancellor Douglas A. Kristensen presiding. UNK Health and Sports Center arena is the site for the event. Doors to the venue open at 8:30 a.m.

Those graduating from Southwest Nebraska include:

Arapahoe: Bradi Hilker, BAED, elementary education

Bartley: Danielle Carpenter, BAED, mild/moderate

Curtis: Jessica Madron, BA, English writing

Elwood: Taylor Speigel, BAED, early childhood

Eustis: Anson Hueftle, BS, business administration

Imperial: Jonathan Hess, BS, psychology; Kacia Smith, BS, business adminstration

Indianola: Candace Malleck, BS, business administration; Heath Teel, BS, recreation, parks and tourism management

McCook: Rachel Bradley BS, industrial distribution; Tiffany Gap, MAE, music education; Hannah Vontz, MSE, clinical mental health counseling

Palisade: Chadric Flaig, BS, physical education
