Patricia Jane (Chapman) Lafferty

LINCOLN, Neb. --Patricia Jane (Chapman) Lafferty, 78, of Lincoln, passed away on Nov. 8, 2015, in Lincoln.

Pat was born in Trenton, Nebraska, to Harvey and Florence (Blue) Chapman on Feb. 21, 1937. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1955. Pat married Wayne Lafferty on June 2, 1956, in Trenton. She worked for the Fuller Brush Co. and Sears, and was a daycare provider early in their marriage. Pat and Wayne enjoyed traveling, skiing, bowling and golf, and were active members in the Newcomers Club while living in Missouri. Because of Wayne's job with Burlington Northern Railroad, they were fortunate to have lived in Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, Missouri and Colorado.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Barb Pantenburg and Floretta Thomsen; brother, Oscar Chapman; and in-laws, Glen Reiners, Leola Chapman, Hans Thomsen and Beverly Chapman.

Pat is survived by her children, Julia (Kevin) Lostroh and their children, Stacy (Kane) Nordmeyer, Denise (Travis) Pritchett, Mark (Ashton) Lostroh, Lesley (Matt) Turek, Teresa (Todd) Meysenburg and Emily Lostroh; Joan (Merlin) Lahm and their children, Derek, Grant and Jessica Lahm; Jolene (Jerry) Brockman and their children, Joshua Stern and Nicole (Ken) Deppe; Mike (Diane) Lafferty; sisters, Catherine Reiners and Shirley (Tom) Rine; brothers Jim Chapman and Tom (Detta) Chapman; and brother-in-law, Bob Pantenburg. Pat also enjoyed her 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation with family is 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12. Rosary is at 7:30 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at Cathedral of the Risen Christ, Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. Monsignor Tucker will be officiating. Lunch will be provided at the church, with graveside services at Lincoln Memorial Park, procession meeting at gate 2 at 1 p.m.
