McCOOK, Neb. -- Promoter Sam Jaeger plans his 2015 clean-up demolition derby during McCook's Heritage Days weekend, Saturday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m., in front of the grandstand on the Red Willow County fairgrounds in the 1500 block of West Fifth.

Admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for those 12 and under.

The pits open for car and driver registration at 4 p.m. and close at 6 p.m.; the entry fee is $40.

Drivers must be at least 16 years old, with a valid driver's license. Drivers younger than 19 must have written, notarized parental/guardianship consent.

Jaeger plans full-size weld and no-weld cars; compact cars; and truck divisions. Cars must have been in at least one demo derby.

This will be Jaeger's third demo derby in McCook; his first drew 21 cars, last year's grew to 48 cars (despite unseasonably cold weather). Jaeger has also promoted 11 demo derbies in Benkelman.
