Mike Adams, upper left, Bill Harley, right, and Chuck Peek, above, preview their performances Thursday night at the Bieroc Cafe. They are among the headliners at this weekend's Buffalo Commons Storytelling and Music Festival. Mary Dueland and John Hubert, below, prepare to display artwork by German prisoners of war for a presentation today in cooperation with the Indianola Historical Society and McCook Community College. A bus tour visited the World War II POW camp north of Indianola, then the High Plains Museum in McCook to see sections of barracks walls on which prisoners sketched and painted scenes of home in Germany and life at the camp. Saturday's Buffalo Commons schedule includes a hootenanny, musical performances, open mic sessions, kids' activities, a Chautauqua and the "How the West has Fun" grand finale.
