OGALLALA, Neb. -- Earla Mae Jimenez, 93 of Ogallala, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at the Ogallala Community Hospital.

Earla was born Nov. 6, 1921 at Lewellen, Nebraska, the daughter of Granville Luther and Lena Ann (Thompson) Stout.

Earla married John Seth Annable in St. Francis, Kansas. They made their home on the Annable farm southwest of Ogallala, where they raised their family. She worked for Goodall Electric in Ogallala for a number of years.

Earla married Sam Jimenez in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They moved to McCook, Nebraska, where she ran a ceramic shop called Ceramics by Earla. Later they moved to Grand Island, Nebraska, for several years before moving to Loveland, Colorado, and they eventually relocated to Ogallala.

She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in McCook.

Earla was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Mylan Stout; her first husband, John Seth Annable, second husband, Sam Jimenez; and a daughter-in-law, Myra Annable.

Earla is survived by her son, Terry Annable of Ogallala; son, John Annable (Dianne) of Ogallala; son, Craig Annable (Velida) of Tucson, Arizona; daughter, Kathy Sizer (James) of Ogallala and daughter, Peg (Richard) Huffman of Grand Island; 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Frank (Delia) Jimenez of Big Springs; sister-in-law, Annie Alvarado of Loveland, Colorado; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial has been established in her memory. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com, where the service will also be streamed live for those unable to attend.

Services will be Monday, March 2, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church with Pastor Lisa Hadler officiating. Inurnment will be in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell.

Visitation for memorial book signatures will be on Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Prairie Hills Funeral Home.
