Town hall meeting outlines sales tax information

McCOOK, Neb. -- Receipts from the 1 percent portion of the current tax include $190,000 from motor vehicle sales toward the street fund, and $701,700 each to pay down city property taxes and city projects, City Manager Nate Schneider told about 20 people gathered for a townhall meeting Tuesday at the Heritage Senior Center.
