McCOOK, Nebraska - When the Curly Olney dealership in McCook became a part of Titan Machinery in 2012, farm, home and construction equipment customers throughout Southwest Nebraska and Northwest Kansas benefitted in two significant ways.

Maintaining an extended record of service, the purchase of Curly Olney's Inc. by Titan Machinery kept in place a sales, service and parts team which has been serving the McCook area for more than four decades. When all the years of today's Titan McCook team are added together, the employees at the store at 1601 North U.S. Highway 83 have a combined total of 314 years of service.

This record of experience - averaging close to 15 years per employee - is a mark of distinction which inspires trust and a close connection between the Case-IH dealership and the company's customers. "Titan Machinery is committed to a strong store model, in which every day decisions are made at the store site," said Ron Gans, the manager of the Titan-McCook store.

The strong local team supplements the advantages of Titan Machinery's combined purchasing power and dealer network. Titan Machinery, which has grown to be the world's largest CNH Industrial farm machinery and construction equipment dealer, has 113 dealerships world-wide, including 97 in the United States. "The network of dealers makes it much easier to get equipment and parts to meet our customer's needs," Gans said.

In McCook, the roots for what is now Titan Machinery were planted in 1968 when Curly Olney purchased the International dealership. Through the years, Curly and his staff grew the business, moving from the store at West Fifth and B to the North Highway 83 location in 1973. Following Curly's retirement, Mark Fletcher became the store manager. Mark remained in the leadership position until early this year, when he retired.

As the new manager for the McCook store, Titan Machinerey selected Ron Gans. Gans, who grew up in the Dannebrog area, has a farming and equipment background. Following graduation from Centura High School in 1982, Ron was involved in farming and a small implement dealership. He took time away from the Ag profession in the late 1990s and early 2000s to help establish Christian camps and care centers across the country.

Ron joined the Titan Machinery team at Hastings in 2012 and two years later was chosen as the manager for the Titan-McCook store. Ron's family includes his wife, Rhonda, and four children: Kyra, Robert, Tykus and Makya. Kyra is a sophomore at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood and Robert is a sophomore at Doniphan High School. Tykus and Makya are home-schooled.

The strong customer focus is the thing that stands out most for Gans as the hallmark of the Titan-McCook store. "In all aspects of the operation - whether that be sales, service or parts - the staff is accomplished, knowledgeable and ready to respond," he said.

In the future, as in the past, Titan Machinery will continue to present the popular combine clinics, planter clinics and sprayer clinics, Gans said. Also upcoming - on an annual basis - will be an Open House open to all. "We will be holding some of the events at the fairgrounds to take advantage of the large space available at the Kiplinger Arena," Gans added.

"We're always on the lookout for ways to serve our customers better," the manager said. In this regard, Gans said customers in the McCook area are well served by the store's association with Titan Machinery. "The network of dealers allows us to respond quickly and precisely to the customer's needs," he said.

The wide range of products is highlighted by the Case-IH brands in the familiar red and white and red and black colors. Featured lines include the Magnum Tractor series, the four-wheel drive Quad Tracks; and the flagship combines and heads.

Titan also carries a varied list of short line equipment to meet specialized customer demand and niche product needs. This includes Bushhog products, MacDon hay equipment and J&M grain carts, plus header trailers and pivot track closers from Minden Machine Company.

"Whatever your farm or construction equipment needs - new, used or parts - Titan Machinery can help," Gans said.

"Our local staff's experience, combined with Titan Machinery's network of Nebraska and national dealers, provides the best choices for sales, service and parts," Gans said. "We look forward to serving you in the future as in the past."
