Veteran's Day flag folding ceremony set for Norris House
McCOOK, Neb. -- For young and old alike, a Veteran's Day flag folding ceremony will be Saturday, Nov. 8, from 1:30 to 3 p.m., at the Sen. George Norris Home, 706 Norris Ave.
U.S. Marine veteran Dan Stramel of McCook will show the art of folding the American flag properly, the history behind each fold made, according to Civil War history and Sen. Norris' connection to the Civil War.
Afterwards, younger participants will create "flag" tin can wind sock.
