The second annual "Junktoberfest: A Vintage and Artisan Market," a celebration of all that is old and unusual, is scheduled on the Red Willow County fairgrounds in the 1500 block of West Fifth in McCook, Nebraska, on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is $2; 12 and under are admitted free of charge. More than 40 vendors will offer vintage collectibles, antiques, handcrafted items and barn-fresh supplies for those interested in "junking," "antiquing" and "peeling paint projects." Coordinator Courtney Pollmann expects handmade and upcycled home decor and accessories, as well as "junk" for "Pinterest" projects.
