Members of the congregation of Danbury, Nebraska, Presbyterian Church stand in front of the church that sports new and/or repaired windows and, after this summer, fresh bright-white paint. Parishioners believed, and were rewarded for their faith, that donations would come to help purchase badly-needed paint for the 118-year-old church and to pay the painter. "Maintaining your church means so much to the community," said parishioner Gwen Lee of McCook. Fellow parishioners thank believers for their donations and prayers. Church services are 9:30 a.m., every Sunday, with lay speakers Scott Inman on the first two Sundays of each month and Keith Theobald, the next two Sundays. Everyone is welcome to attend the services, and to stay for coffee and social time afterwards. The church is located on the west edge of Danbury.
