DRESDEN, Kan. -- Erma Jeanie Spresser, 82, died Thursday (Oct. 2, 2014), at Norton County Hospital in Norton, Kansas.

She was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Hays, Kansas, to John T. and Delma E. (Fortin) McCoy. She graduated from Leoville High School in 1949. She married John T. Spresser on Sept. 12, 1950, in Leoville, Kansas. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Delma (Fortin) McCoy and husband, John L. Spresser.

Survivors include her children, Mike and wife, Linda Spresser of Selden, Kansas, Charles and wife, Terri Spresser of Riceville, Tennessee, John and wife, Kathleen Spresser of Herington, Kansas, Kathy Brainard of Oberlin, Kansas, and Jeanette Krizek of Norton; brothers, Tom and wife, Melba McCoy of Belle Fourche, South Dakota; sisters, Mary Ann Jones of Wichita, Kansas, and Edith Criswell of Scott City, Kansas;13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services are Monday , Oct. 6, 2014, 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Leoville with the Rev. Mark Berland officiating. Interment is at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Leoville.

Visitation is Sunday from 1-8 p.m. with a Vigil service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home in Selden.

Memorials may be given to Mount Calvary Cemetery and Jennings Fire Department.
