New subdivision

Tuesday, September 9, 2014

Red Willow County, Nebraska, commissioners had no comments or concerns during their weekly meeting Monday morning regarding the creation of the new "Bishop Acres Subdivision" west of McCook on U.S. Highway 6-34 and north of C&K Distributors on County Road 383. Because the 14.01-acre subdivision lies within the two-mile jurisdiction of McCook, the city's planning commission will discuss it at its meeting Monday, Oct. 13, and recommend it or not to the city council. The county maintains County Roads 383 and 719 bordering the subdivision on the west and south. Commissioner Earl McNutt said the county will not maintain any roads eventually built within the subdivision. The initial four three-acre lots are located in the southwest corner of the subdivision at the intersection of the two roads. "It's good to see the growth," said commissioner Vesta Dack.
