McCOOK, Neb. -- Road work will begin at the intersection of East 7th and East H Street on Tuesday, Sept. 2, stretching to the intersection of Seminole Drive and Park Avenue. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of September, according to city staff.

Property owners along the construction route will occasionally lose access to their driveways during the project and the contractor has committed to do their best to allow homeowners to regain access as quickly as possible.

This project will includes milling of the existing road surface, subgrade prep, replacing asphalt millings as a base and the application of a new asphalt driving surface. Handicap ramps will also be constructed at each intersection.

A higher quality phasing plan map with tentative dates for each element of work can be found on the City of McCook's website at www.cityofmccook.com.

City officials ask residents to please plan alternate routes to avoid areas of construction and apologized in advance for any inconveniences created by the project.
