McCook man faces Drug Tax Stamp violation

McCOOK, Neb. -- A McCook man pleaded not guilty to several felony charges Monday in Red Willow County District Court, including allegedly failing to pay more than $16,000 in illegal drug taxes. The accused, 59-year-old Danny J. Reed, has been charged with a Class 4 felony offense for violating Nebraska's controlled substance tax law, a pair of Class 3 felonies for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of a deadly weapon by a felon, as well as an infraction for possession of drug paraphernalia.
