Harold Eugene Moore

Dec. 17, 1929 - July 23, 2014

BARTELY, Neb. -- Harold Eugene Moore was born Dec. 17, 1929, to Ralph and Sylvia Rosier Moore at his Grandma Rosier's housein Red Willow County. He was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on July 23, 2014.

He married Marian Allen, the love of his life, at her parent's home on June 4, 1950, and they celebrated 64 years together. They welcomed five precious children into their lives. Harold loved farming, raising cattle, horses and donkeys. He also enjoyed collecting Breyer horses, John Deere toy tractors, keychains and various other things. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a great joy to him.

Harold asked Jesus to become his Lord and Savior when he was a teenager, at the same time as his dad and other family members. He was a member of the Gideons, a deacon, 4-H club leader, ABS representative, and seed dealer. He enjoyed his customers, family, and friends and was adored by all who knew him.

Harold is survived by his wife, Marian; daughters, Nancy (Rod) Smith of Boise, Idaho, Peggy (Roger) Webb of Billings, Montana, Michelle (Tim) Lytle, of McCook, Nebraska; sons, Lonnie (Claire) Moore of Ceresco, Nebraska, David (Marilyn) Moore of Oxford, Nebraska, grandchildren, Krystal (Robert) Emineth, Kelly (Ryan) Jenkins, Wyatt (Julie) Smith, Kady Smith,Kyla Smith, Karissa (Christopher) Johnson, Madison Moore, Layne Moore, Eden Moore Renelle (Brad) Hartzog, Melissa (Adam) Fitzgarrald, Kassie (Brandon) Reeh, Kaylee Moore, Tanner (Audrey) Lytle, and Tenillfe Lytle; great-grandchildren, Connor and Matthew Emineth, Kathryn Smith, Landon, Jocelyn, and Maddux Hartzog, Liam and Dexter Fitzgarrald and baby Reeh, who is on the way; brothers, Wayne and Stanley (Cindy) Moore, Bartley, Nebraska; sisters, Hazel Durner, Arapahoe, Nebraska, Jo Ann (Glenn) DeVries, Trumbull, Nebraska, sister-in-law, Norma Wymore, Cambridge, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Jerry Allen, Simla, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Margaret Allen, Cambridge, Nebraska, Barbara (Raymond) Durner, Indianola, Nebraska, Jean Allen, North Platte, Nebraska, Pauline (Gordon) Gaasch, Broken Bow, Nebraska, Marilyn (IDarrell) Rowan, Hastings, Nebraska, and a multitude of other family and friends.

Harold was preceeded in death by his parents, Ralph and Sylvia Moore; parents-in-law, James and Nellie Allen; sister, Barbara Wymore; brothers-in-law, Marvin Wymore, Eldon Durner, and Richard Allen; and sister-in-law, May Ann Allen.

Funeral services will be at the Evangelical Free Church on Monday, July 28, 2014, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Bruce Lester officiating. Interment will be at the Bartley Cemetery.

Memorials may be left in his name to the Evangelical Free Church.

Visitation will be at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook on Sunday, July 27, 2014, from 1 to 6 p.m.
